In a new study published in the Journal of Rxperimental Biology, researcher Pavel Horky showed evidence that brown trout show a preference for meth when available, then became immobile when it was withdrawn (a possible sign of stress). They also found corresponding amounts of methamphetamine, and its metabolic byproduct amphetamine in the brains of the fishes. More study will be needed to determine if this is a true addiction.
